Victoria Falls is a waterfall located in southern Africa on the Zambezi River between the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. This waterfall has a height of 108 meters (360 feet) and a width of 1,708 meters (5,604 feet). Victoria Falls is the largest waterfall in the world.
A Scottish explorer, Dr. David Livingstone exploring this waterfall in 1855 and gave it the name 'Victoria Falls' which is taken from the name of 'Queen Victoria'. Locals call this waterfall with the name of 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' which means 'Smoke blaring'. This waterfall is called 'Smoke blaring' because this waterfall dropping torrents causing a thunderous sound and a splash of water looks like white smoke.
This waterfall is part of two national parks, the National Park 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' in Zambia and the National Park 'Victoria Falls' in Zimbabwe. Each State has an obligation to preserve the environment around this waterfall. This waterfall becomes the main attractions in Africa. Both in Zambia and Zimbabwe.
